3.5 weeks to D-Day.

I will be 37 weeks this Tuesday. ... !
(I think he will be late though)

I brought the children to the beach this week. We arrived last Sunday and will head home either Saturday night or Sunday morning. For the most part it's been rainy, cold and windy. Not really the best beach weather. A bit of a disappointment, but trying to make the best of it....children's museum, mall trips, coloring, puzzles, books, etc... Tuesday was fairly sunny, though still cold with the "breeze," so at least we got out in the sand one day, which made all the little ones happy.

Elsie and Judah have a kids song album that we listen to the in the car (it's really awful and Justin despises it, but kids love it and that's why I bought it I guess)... but there is one really odd song that I'm just not sure I approve of:

Say, say, oh playmate,
Come out and play with me
And bring your dollies three
Climb up my apple tree
Slide down my rainbow
Into my cellar door

And we'll be jolly friends
Forever more.

What do you think? I think it's weird. There are a lot of weird kids songs though. Ring Around the Rosies. Seriously. On another note, a truly great kids song:

Got to tell ya- I am feeling very old reading your blog today! That weird song is a chant that kids used while doing the hand clap/slap with a partner. Ring Around the Rosy- its origins were at the time of the Plague. Catchy tune, but the meaning- better left unknown!! HA!
