convert?

...

ok...

....... so I've been casually looking at laptops in hopes of maybe saving up for a new one. I think that the one I currently have is on it's last few legs... Or, in other words, about to die. And I think probably soon. In computer years, I would say it's going on 83.

I saw a news article about the New Apple MacBook. MacBook Pro is the one I'm looking at right now. And I want it. Right this minute.

Really. I do. But I've always used a PC. I know that Apples are good for art and design, but are they also good for business? I need comments/feedback. What are the arguments for or against Apple, from a business and school standpoint. Also comparison between PCs and Macs...?

HELP.

[sidenote: I don't have money for either, so this is for entertainment purposes only. And dreaming.]

you can run both Windows and Mac OS X software at the same time on a Mac with a program called Parallels. there is also a Mac native version of Office.

But PC is cheaper...

I'm a bit irritated with PC's right now. I know Amanda May [Stagnaro]'s Mac died and took all her music and pictures with it a while ago; have other instances of that happened with Macs? Also, even if there aren't, what is the ratio of Macs people you know own:Macs you know of that have died? Does it actually work out that the life expectancy and percentage of problems are equal? Because if you're going to spend that much money, it only makes sense to get something that will last.
