pink cupcakes

i found a new use for my long afternoon class on mondays and wednesday. WRITE. I've started using my OneNote application, and instead of taking class notes (which are all already on my computer via powerpoint), I can write journal-y things.

I told Elsie yesterday that we would bake something and she asked "pink cupcakes??" So that is what we make. Chocolate cupcakes with pink (and I do mean PINK) buttercream frosting. Mmm. Red 40. I guess it can kind of be a pre-valentine's day treat.

I hate watching/reading the news. I do it, occassionally. But I really hate it. The state of our world is just so sad. So many people are just lost... have no hope... striving for someone to notice them... striving to "survive"... The things that some people do, whatever the motive, just amazes me (not in a good way).
